It was pretty windy at the top, my hair would have been everywhere without my hat...

Top of the Zugspitze

Here are some of the pictures we got from our trip up the Zugspitze in Garmisch Germany.

It was such a beautiful view at the top...

Germany hasn't gotten very much snow this year, so it was very nice walking around at the top...




The star behind the boys is the summit peak, but it's blocked off...

Pictures from the cable car

I took a ton of pictures from the cable car on the way up to the Zugspitze. It was about a 10 or 15 minutre ride up and it was a little freaky looking out the windows and not being able to even see the cables the car was on. At one point we were going up at a 90 degree angle right beside the mountain. It was an awesome view though.

This was one of the first pictures before we got up to high.

this is where we got on the cable car, from the starting point here, you can't see where your going to end up on the mountain...

it was very crowded in the car and I was afraid it was a little heavy, but we made it:)


The red and white thing you see is like a transition point in the ride. Once you get to that point, you either go higher or turn a different direction. It gives you that funny feeling in your belly, like when your on a roller coaster.

Finally, it's time for some R&R!

Finally, Les will be leaving Iraq tomorrow for his R&R. Hopefully he will not have to stay in Kuwait to long before he gets to come home. I can't wait. I've missed him so much. Here are a few pictures he has sent me.

Basketball Pictures

Yesterday the boys had their 3rd game. They ended up losing 12-14 in overtime. It was an exciting game, but the kids were very tired in the end. I think all the time they've had off from school and sleeping in has finally caught up with them. There game was at 9:00 a.m., so they just couldn't get it going. But they still did great.

Update on the boys 2nd basketball game. They won...29-4. Lucas scored 10 points in the first half and had to set out the second half so everyone got a chance to play. Nathan did great with some steals and blocks. He got bumped in the nose in the last quarter and had a great nose bleed, so we spent the rest of the game in the locker room making it stop. But it was a good game for both boys. Hooah!

After Shopping, we went through the town

Here is a picture of the many steps we had to climb to get to the top of a tower. I don't know what we were in, but it must have been some old church. The staircases were very small and very old.

Those are houses built on a brigde over the water. We also go to go into one of those that the city keeps restored for people to visit.
